Some builders sign contracts or “partnerships” that basically mean they have to sell you a specific brand, no matter how bad the deal is. We don’t play that game. If an AMD card gives you more VRAM and better value, we’ll use it. If an Nvidia card crushes in ray tracing or creative workloads, we’ll use that instead.

High-End vs Mid-Range vs Budget

Let’s call it how it is. Nvidia still rules the top end. If you want the best of the best — 4K gaming, ray tracing maxed out, frame generation, AI tools — Nvidia’s got the muscle for it. But you’ll pay for it. Hard.

AMD, on the other hand, absolutely owns the mid-range. More VRAM, lower prices, and in most modern titles, almost identical frame rates. You might give up a bit on ray tracing, but you gain value where it actually matters: smooth performance without needing to sell a kidney.

And for entry-level builds, we don’t bother with no-name knockoffs or ancient GPUs pretending to be “budget gaming” solutions. If it can’t run today’s games properly, it doesn’t make it into a Punk PC build.

We Watch the Market, Constantly

Prices shift. Drivers improve. Power efficiency changes with every driver update. We stay on top of it. When AMD drops a new patch that boosts performance by 15%, we test it. When Nvidia rolls out DLSS updates or new frame generation tricks, we see if it’s worth it.

We don’t just read charts — we test. Because real gamers don’t play benchmarks, they play games.

VRAM, Power, and The Fine Print

Here’s the kind of stuff other builders won’t tell you. Some cards choke because they don’t have enough VRAM for modern textures. Some need power supplies that could light a small village. Some run hot enough to grill your dinner.

We take all that into account. Every GPU we pick fits properly within your case, cooling setup, and PSU headroom. No pairing a 450W GPU with a budget power supply, no cramming a massive card into a tiny case just to say it “fits.”

If it doesn’t run right, it doesn’t leave the workshop.

DLSS, FSR, and All the Other Acronyms

Nvidia’s got DLSS. AMD’s got FSR. Intel’s throwing in XeSS for a laugh. All of them are great, but none of them are magic. We use them when they make sense — not as an excuse to sell you hardware you don’t need.

You want high frame rates and stable performance without relying on trickery? That’s what a properly balanced build is for.
